The Lady Wildcats basketball team ended its season with a 53-36 loss to Satellite High in the first round of district play Monday night. The girls finished their regular season with a record of 11-11 after falling to Harmony High School 43-30 on Jan. 27.
“I felt as if we could have won [the district game], we were down by 12 after the first half, within a couple of minutes we closed the spread to 5,” senior Danielle Tully said. “Our momentum was excellent and so was our defense. Overall, I am truly proud of each and every member of the varsity team. We finished with a good season.”
Tully finished out the season as leading scorer, averaging of 9.9 points a game. Tully also lead the team in assists with an average of 2.5 a game.
Sophomore Victoria D’Esposito led the team in rebounds with an average of 10.7 a game.
