Girls’ basketball pulls out comeback

The Lady Wildcats came back in the second half and slipped by Cocoa High 32-29 in a district match Wednesday, improving their record to 7-3 and remaining at the top of the district. Sophomore guard Lydia Kline led the team by putting up 13 points.

“It was a hard game because we started out slow and were down in the first half, but we came back in the second half and held our lead,” Kline said.

Senior Victoria D’Esposito and freshman Gillian Foster also aided in the comeback with 7 points each.

The girls’ next competition is tonight against Space coast at home with JV tipping off at 5:30 and varsity at 7.
