The Purrfections varsity placed fourth in the pom division and sixth place in the jazz division at the UDA Regionals at Seminole High School in Sanford on Saturday. The middle school team placed second in the pom division.
“This is the first time we’ve been at regionals, and I am very proud of how we placed,” Coach April Shaw said. “I couldn’t of asked for better results.”
Sophomore Keiran Sheridan also expressed satisfaction with the outcome.
“The standard of competition was so much higher than at county competition,” she said.
Dance teams from throughout Central Florida participated, hoping for a chance to advance to nationals.
“There were some very amazing teams there competing, and it was fun to watch everyone,” Shaw said.
