Senior Marco Pascual cools down after his his run in a September Cross Country meet.

With  freshman Austin Camps leading the team with a time of 18:42.34 and placing 10th out of all the runners racing in the varsity division, the boys’ varsity cross-country team still placed fourth overall out of 19 teams at the 11th annual Embry-Riddle Asics Classic on Saturday.

Unlike the other courses the team raced on this season, this Daytona Beach course was a little more of a challenge.

“The course was really hilly and everyone’s time was slower than usual,” senior Ian Chan said.

The junior varsity fell behind with an overall place of 12 out of 14 teams.  The JV team was lead by John Nevins with a time of 23:33.45.

This Saturday the cross-country team heads out to Titusville for the second time this season.
