The boys and girls swim teams set their marks at home against Viera on Tuesday, Sept. 2nd at Fee Avenue Pool.

The boys team edged out their first win, 84-81, but it was another loss for the girls, 66-104.

Along with the win, the boys team had four first-place finishers. In freestyle, they had sophomore Sebastian Certuche (200-yard), senior Andy Guan (50-yard) and freshman Axel Koontz (500-yard). Guan also earned the first-place finish in the 100-yard backstroke.

The girls still had some memorable finishers, with freshman Amanda Berginc taking first place in both the 200-yard and 500-yard freestyle.

The girls 400-yard freestyle relay team, consisting of eighth grader Elizabeth Certuche, senior Cassidy Corey, freshman Alana Burgos and Berginc, also took home first place for the meet.

The next swim meet is next Tuesday, Sept. 9th, where they will compete against Melbourne.
