Led by freshman Nick Pekmezian who knocked in two goals, the Wildcats boys’ soccer team took down the Cocoa Beach Minutemen 7-1 last night.

“Nick brings a lot of energy and creative ideas to the field,” senior captain Ryan Robidoux said. “We are finally starting to figure out how to score goals and I think that is the key to us moving forward.”

With one goal each, Robidoux, senior Danny Dolnik, juniors Sam Kundrat and Jamison Rushnell, and freshman Nick Burgess also contributed to the team’s success.

“By the second half off the game, we realized we had to play a lot better,” Dolnik said. “So we picked up the pace. Hopefully this type of effort continues to the rest of our games.”

The team next travels to Space Coast to take on the Vipers on Nov. 26 with JV play beginning at 5:30 p.m and varsity at 7 p.m.

“Space Coast might not be a traditionally great team but we can’t let up,” Dolnik added. “We have to continue with that level of play and can’t let our guard down.”
