Senior Brandon Sepulveda sets up to pass to junior Nick Burgess during the Melbourne High game.

The varsity boys soccer team has added six new players; freshmen Cameron Yeutter, Chase Hester, Ian Leighton, sophomore Liam Wiles and juniors Amaefule Chukwunenye and Keegan Schauman.

Coach Bob Robidoux has named senior Robert Madden as the team captain for a second consecutive year.

“He’s been absolutely fantastic,” Robidoux said.

The assistant captains are seniors Brandon Sepulveda and Allan Joyner.

The Wildcats split their first two preseason games, losing to Melbourne High 1-0 and tying Holy Trinity 0-0.

“West Shore has never beat Mel High,” Madden said. “We hate Mel High.”
