Despite playing hard for 80 minutes and getting a goal each from senior James Bocisnky and sophomore Brad Mooney, the boys’ soccer team played to a 2-2 draw Monday night against Cocoa Beach.
“We had three starters out and I don’t think the new players are used to the speed of the game,” Bocinsky said. “In the end, the ball has to get past 11 people so really everyone is at fault.”
Taking an initial two goal lead in the first half, the Minutemen put up quite a fight against the Wildcats according to captain Jimmy Madden.
“Our biggest weakness is that we start off slow and that was the case last night,” Madden said. “We dominated the game but we just couldn’t finish it out.”
The team plays the Melbourne Central Catholic Hustlers tonight with J.V. play starting at 5:30 p.m. and Varsity at 7 p.m.
