On the strength of junior Dylan O’Brien’s second half goal Friday night, the Wildcats advance to play Berkley Prep Thursday in the state final, a rematch of the 2012 state championship. Sophomore Cameron Yuetter got his fourth assist in three games Friday, to propel West Shore into the 2A State Championship. West Shore beat Berkley Prep 3-2 thanks to former Wildcat player and current assistant coach John Bocinski’s overtime goal to win the state championship in 2012.

“The game went really well,” junior Kishan Ghayal said. “We’re really excited for the final. Hopefully we can beat Berkley again, last time they underestimated us. I suspect this time they’ll know we mean business, because we do.”

The boys play Thursday at 4 p.m. in Deland. Tickets are $9. West Shore will be sending a spirit bus, departing at 1;30 p.m. The price for the bus is $20 and does not include a ticket. Bus Passes can be purchased in lunch today only.
