Despite a strong effort, the boys’ bowling team lost to Eau Gallie 4-3 and the girls fell 6-1 Thursday at Harbour Lanes during their last match of the season.

“We knew we were going to lose because Eau Gallie is the best team,” senior Alex Hamaker said. “We made it fun though because there was no pressure.”

Despite the loss, senior Timmy Pham said he was pleased with the boys’ performance.

“We put up a good fight against the highest scoring team in our division,” he said. “But it was a satisfying effort for the last game of my high-school bowling career.”

Both teams are scheduled to compete in districts beginning at 8 a.m. on Oct. 30 at Shore Lanes.
