Focused on the task at hand, eighth-grader Lili D. assists science teacher Linda Johnson in shooting off man-made cars. “My car really exceeded my expectations,” eighth-grader Matthew L. said. “My partner and I had to add extra weight to the car, and I thought it was going to make it slower. I was surprised when I saw it was going really fast.” The students competed in a race to determine who had the fastest car.
