Sketching for science

Outlining in pencil, senior Hana Kim draws her groups island during her fifth period AP Environmental Science class. “It makes them analyze, it’s applying what they learn going into their higher level thinking,” said APES teacher Kelly Ladd. “It’s still important to make it fun though.” The lab was called Butcher the Biomes, making the students apply their knowledge of climate factors to determine the biome.
