Seining for sea creatures

An excited group of eighth grade girls learn to “seine” fish on the shores of the Sebastian Inlet on Wednesday, March 22nd. Seining is a method of fishing involving a seine net that hangs vertically in the water, used to catch various types of sea life. The field trip was tied to the eighth grade science curriculum, as they have been learning about ecosystems in the classroom.
