AP Statistics students fly paper airplanes to collect data for a lab. “We were trying to apply stats to a real world situation,” junior Mamoon Syed said. “Basically, we were seeing how much [the paper airplanes’ flight distance] would vary throw to throw, trying to isolate as many variables as possible. It was better than a lecture so I enjoyed it.” Students worked in groups to collect data over multiple days.
