Teaching his sixth-period Advanced Placement European History class, Kirk Murphy calls on a student. He recently was awarded Brevard’s teacher of the year and will advance to the state competition in June. “Mr. Murphy really deserves this award because he is really funny and his humor makes history interesting,” freshman Jared Muzzone said.
