Showing off the wonders of West Shore, guidance counselor Chuck Keener shows upcoming sixth graders and their parents different classes in the school. “I don’t know if it [the tours] really impacts the number of people who apply,” testing coordinator and tour guide Mike Drake said. “They’re done more as a courtesy for the people who do apply.” Approximately 175 incoming seventh-graders are accepted each year from nearly 800 applicants.
