Preparing to experience elastic potential energy during Cinsy Krehbiel’s fourth-period physics class Tuesday, junior Jeanine Vickers fastens her safety vest. Vickers and her classmates took turns attaching a bungee chord to their backs and running as hard as they could on an inflatable track until the elastic snapped them back in the opposite direction. Approximately once every other year since 2007, physics classes have participated in this full-body experiment.
