Blue Ribbon Day

As a monument to excellence, the National Blue Ribbon School flag flies above the school. The banner was raised during first period Friday following a ceremony in the school auditorium attended by Brevard Public Schools Superintendent Brian Binggeli, school board members Amy Kneessy and Andy Ziegler were among dignitaries in attendance. West Shore has been designated a Blue Ribbon School for the second time in a decade and is the only public high school in Florida to receive the recognition this year. The final two hours of the school day were set aside for student celebrations ranging from a corn hole tournament to line-dancing.
