The school went into a shelter-in-place after receiving an email threatening possible bomb and gun violence on Jan. 7. Around 80 schools across Florida received the same message, including Eau Gallie High School, which also went into lockdown.
Law enforcement arrived on scene with bomb-sniffing dogs and a drone, inspecting the campus for suspicious or dangerous items. No such items were found.
The email threats were determined to be unfounded, and the shelter-in-place ended without incident. The threat remains under active investigation.
