Students prepare as AP testing draws near

The AP testing season arrives in one week, and students continue to prepare to pass the exams in their spare time.

“I bought AP prep books and started studying before spring break,” sophomore Rosellen Rodriguez said. “I’ve also been following some online study plans and watching YouTube videos which have been super helpful.”

In addition to personal studying, some classes have begun to shift from teaching new material to full review and prep mode.

“We started reviewing the material a few weeks ago,” junior Dhanvi Patel said. “We’ve started taking practice exams and calculating what we would get on the exams.”

With all of the reinforcement in and out of class, Rodriguez said she feels prepared for the exams.

“Like most people, I feel nervous,” Rodriguez said. “But I also realize my classes have been preparing me all year for this, and I shouldn’t doubt my ability too much.”

AP exams will begin with chemistry, Spanish literature and psychology May 7 and will close out with human geography and microeconomics May 18.
