The Mu Alpha Theta club will attend the Florida Association of Mu Alpha Theta competition on Saturday at Vero Beach High School. It is a regional competition where approximately 30 West Shore students will compete in various subjects.
“We have teams for all math subjects, such as algebra, geometry, trig, and statistics,” club sponsor Debra Jerdon said.
Former Mu Alpha Theta member Callie Hauser participated in the event last year.
“It’s really fun and helps with team-building,” Hauser said. “Partaking in the events is the best part, though, because it’s fun to compete with other students from the area and test your skills.”
