Space Coast Art entries due Nov. 18

The 48th annual Space Coast Art Festival is quickly approaching. In order to enter the student art show, applicants must turn in their registration forms by Nov. 18.

This competition has students from every school throughout the Space Coast competing for the first three places and a prize of $300. In addition,  the classroom of each winner will receives $500.

“Even though I’m a failure (at art), I will enjoy competing in the competition.” Valerie Kobzarenko, a sophomore in Drawing and Painting 2 class said.

The work entered can be any two dimensional work (painting, drawing, photograph, mixed media, etc.) that is no smaller than 8 ½ inches by 11 inches and no larger than 11 by 17 inches.

“I think the magnitude of the West Shore entries will be difficult to beat,” David Blucker, an art intern from the University of Central Florida, said.

The registration forms can be picked up in Room 5-100.
