The second annual “Jazz Under the Stars” is being held April 19, starting at 6:30 p.m. under the canopy. The event is being sponsored by the Jazz Band and Senior Class.
Band teacher Carol Allen encourages people to come to the event.
“Last year was super successful,” Allen said. “There wasn’t a lot of people, but we got a lot in donations, and the people there really enjoyed it.”
Senior Nathaniel Curtis played bass at last year’s concert.
“There wasn’t much pressure on us,” Curtis said. “It was a lot of fun. We had food, and thats always a bonus.”
Refreshments will be available for purchase from Senior Class, and attendees are encouraged to bring desserts to share, as well as their own dinner.
“It’s really laid-back,” Allen said. “It’s not the kind of thing where you have to be quiet. You can chit-chat while we play.”
