A cappella club plans for upcoming year
February 6, 2017
As the end of the year approaches, A cappella Club is starting to gear up for the next school year. Currently the club meets once a week and rehearses a song with choreography until it is mastered. The club is designed for middle-school students who enjoy singing with an ensemble without instruments.
The founder of club, freshmen Gracie Moravecky, hopes the club will expand.
“We’re hoping for a larger group next year now that people know about the club, and we’re going to try some performances,” Moravecky said. “If we could find some local competitions, that would be great too.”
The club is planning many improvements.
“We’re going to let in freshmen, start doing practices twice a week, and just ensure that the club is much more official and organized,” Moravecky said.
Seventh-grader Shauna L. said she has enjoyed the experience.
“It was a lot of fun being part of this club,” she said. “I learned a lot about singing A cappella and it was very enjoyable. It will definitely be something I do next year.”
