In order to raise money for Prom, the Junior Class is selling gift cards from Texas Roadhouse.
“I feel like this fund-raiser is going to raise a lot of money,” said Nora McSorley, the Junior Class historian.”Ten percent of all profits go to our class.”
According to class President Jenna Winter, this fund-raiser will be a departure from the norm.
“All fund-raisers are practically the same. Everyone can go out and bake cookie dough anytime, and magazines sales only gives 5 percent of their profit,” she said. “Selling gift cards will be much more family-oriented because people can go out and eat together.”
Winter added that she’s optimistic about this fund-raiser because other schools such as Eau Gallie High have raised up to $3,000 with a similar plan.
