Team bowls gutter against Palm Bay

The bowling team lost a hard road match 7-0 to Palm Bay High on Wednesday at Shore Lanes. After the traditional matches, the team had already acquired a -200 deficit.

“We were missing some of our key members due to Powderpuff practices,” sophomore Justin Ho said. “We were at a large deficit by the end of the traditional games.”

The team just couldn’t get on a roll during the match.

“No player played particularly well, no one played above average, other than captain Jimmy Wood with his new ball,” Ho said. “That’s the problem.  The team has good chemistry, but for some reason we can’t bring that on to the waxed lanes.”

At the end of the match, Coach Thomas Mead gathered all the players and just laid it flat out. “We need to get better,” he said.

With the loss, the Wildcats drop to a 1-9 record. Their next match is Wednesday at Eau Gallie High School, played at Harbour Lanes bowling alley.
