Taraschi, Sherry to lead SGA next year

The Student Government Association’s officer positions were announced on Tuesday May 3 in fifth period. Bianca Taraschi was elected president and Jackie Sherry vice president as the 2011-12 Student Government Association’s were announced May 3.

In addition, Taylor Morgan was secured the secretary position and Jackie Heller won the treasurer spot.

“When I heard my name called, I felt so relieved and honored to be part of a club that is so big,” Morgan, a freshman, said.

Heller will continue in her role as the club’s treasurer.

“Jackie’s face instanly lit up when her name was called, sophomore Virginia Compton said. “I could tell she really wanted to win.”

The officers will begin their term at the beginning of next year.
