Sophomore Chris Estevez, freshmen Belen Castillo and the rest of the track and field team are doing their final preparations for their meet at Rockledge High School on Feb. 17.
“I feel very confident for the first meet,” Castillo said. “I’m a little nervous, but Coach Estevez has helped us a lot.”
The next meet will be at Viera High School on Feb. 23.
“I am so excited for my first meet because there is just something special about track meets,” Estevez said. “Everyone’s there for a long time, and you just get to hang out with friends.”
