The second day of middle school boys’ basketball tryouts were held Friday, Aug 21 from 6 to 7:30 pm. The 26 boys that attended were cut down to 15 to form the final roster.

Coach Charlie Rossi is optimistic for the season. “I’m looking forward to the season,” Rossi said. “I think we have an athletic, young group and that we can do some damage in our conference.”

This years roster includes Dwight B., Josh F., Scott M., Daniel S., Laithe R., Sam T., Andrew K., Henry P., Abdullah S., Ben k., Zane S., Riley W., Carlos R., Rahzel I., and Thomas W.

Junior and team manager Juan Rodriguez has his own ideas for the season. “I’m looking forward to being able to teach and play against them in practice,” Rodriguez said. “That will show these young bloods how the big boys play.”

The first game is to be held on Aug 31, against Cocoa at West Shore at 6:15 pm.
