JV soccer girls won’t play Palm Bay

The JV soccer girls will not play against Palm Bay on Wednesday because the Lady Pirates do not have a JV team. The coaches are having all of the team come to the first half of the varsity game.

With temperatures forecast to be in the low 60s, eighth-grader Lauren M. said she is glad they don’t have a JV team.

“I love playing soccer but not in the cold,” she said. “It’s really hard to breathe in the cold air, and if you have to wear an undershirt it has to match the uniform.”

Freshman Bria De La Hoz said she is excited to attend the varsity game.

“I am looking forward to cheering the team on and hanging out with my team. Palm bay had a JV team last year,” she said. ”I was looking forward to playing them, but I don’t think they had enough players.”

The next JV game is scheduled for Friday at 5:30 p.m. against Holy Trinity.
