Girls tennis won 5-2 against Melbourne High School on Tuesday. The line 1 singles player lost her single match and lines 2-5 all won their singles matches. Match 1 doubles won and Match 2 lost.
“I looked at [Melbourne’s] stats before we got to the courts, and they seemed on par with our team,” sophomore Rhea Sinha said. “But when I stepped on the court, I felt really confident.”
Sinha won her singles match 8–1. Junior Suhina Mitra won her singles match 8–2 and doubles 6–1 with junior Aubrey Reiter.
“Doubles are always really fun to play, and Aubrey and I work really well together since we’ve been playing together for some time now,” Mitra said.
The team will play Calvary Chapel on Feb. 29 at Hoover Middle School.
