With under five minutes left, senior Ciera Misner scored to put the Wildcats over the top Thursday night against Melbourne Central Catholic Hustlers. The final score was 1-0.
“Towards the end of the game when we weren’t scoring, we pushed some more players forward to create a bigger opportunity to,” Misner said. “The ball was passed to me through one of the passing lanes of their defense, and I just ran on to it and scored.”
Senior Amanda Farthing said Misner’s goal was a huge relief.
“No one wants to lose on their Senior Night,” Farthing said. “It was a nice way to conclude the season, but it was weird for me because I was remembering past years and always putting on Senior Nights for other people.”
