The Space Coast Crew girls’ team won two races and placed second in four other races Saturday at the C-54 Canal Regatta.

Junior Emily Eastwood described the regatta as more relaxed compared to others.

“I felt like this race was a good baseline for our boats,” Eastwood said. “I felt good about my eight race it was really good and getting gold in it was proof.”

Sophomore Emma Welman was in another boat that won their race.

“I felt like we were prepared enough,” Welman said. “The team did really well and the majority placed, so that’s good.”

The team will travel to the Tampa Bypass Canal to participate in the Halloween Regatta on Oct. 28.
