The varsity girls’ basketball team plans to hold its end-of-season banquet in the school cafeteria on March 6.
Previously, the banquet was held at Doubles Hoagies in Indian Harbour Beach, but the restaurant was booked for every weekend in March.
“It’s too expensive to go to other restaurants, so to keep it cheap for the players and their families we chose to use the cafeteria,” Coach Dave D’Esposito said.
Sophomore Brooke Robertson says she’s fine with the change in venue.
“I don’t think it’s big deal,” she said. “I think it will be just as good as always.”
