The boys’ tennis team finished the season with a 7–6 record and a fourth-place finish in the 1A District Finals on April 15.
“We expected to win Districts,” sophomore Eric Yang said. “The team did everything we could, and I’m just happy everyone tried their best,” sophomore Eric Yang said. “My performance was horrible and I’m very disappointed in myself, especially knowing how hard I worked leading up to the tournament.”
Yang is working towards playing tennis collegiately and will be training at the IMG Academy in the offseason to elevate his level of playing.
“I feel that the team did a great job, and I was proud of my performance,” sophomore Blake Johnson said. “Our star player Eric [Yang] was disappointed in his performance after a tough loss, and it shows his dedication to the team and sport. I feel disappointed that the season is over, but I am also glad to see the progress that I made along with the overall progress of the team.”
