Boys’ cross country finishes second

The boys’ team placed second and and girls’ team finished sixth in a nine-school cross country meet at Cocoa High School on Saturday.

“I liked the course better than last year — less concrete, more grass, and besides one or two sudden inclines, it’s pretty flat,” varsity runner Jacob Smithe said. “It’s definitely not the worst place districts could be held,  and I’m glad that we’ve gotten to give it a test run before the district meet so that our team is a little more familiar with the course. We had a few [personal records] in the results, and our team as a whole finished pretty strong, so I think it will end up being a good course for districts that everyone will finish well on.”
