Spanish Honor inducts new members

The Spanish Honor Society’s induction ceremony went well, according to club Secretary Natalia Marmol.

“It was a lot of fun,” Marmol said. “Everyone brought all sorts of different types of food, which was great to eat after the ceremony.”

The  ceremony was held March 22 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the media center.

The inductees had to recite the official Spanish Honor Society pledge at the ceremony. They also received a certificate and a rose bought by club sponsor Awilda Marti.

“I felt that the ceremony was a special thing, since my mom watched me be inducted into such a prestigious society,” inductee Alicia Ortiz said.

Members will continue to attend meetings on Fridays and plan new events.

“Since the school year is wrapping up pretty quickly now, we now need to plan on how to make next year even better than this year,” Marti said.
