Members of the Spanish Honor Society held their last meeting May 2, according to sponsor Awila Marti.
“Since the school is coming to an end and exams are approaching, I decided to have the last meeting be a food party,” Marti said.
On Thursday, members discussed plans for next year according to club member Alicia Ortiz.
“As a new member this year, I didn’t really know much about the club,” Ortiz said. “But next year, I plan to step it up and plan more events.”
Club President Christy Hernandez gave a speech at the meeting regarding the accomplishments of the club.
“This year was my last year in the Spanish Honor Society,” the senior said. “And I’m proud to say that we did a lot more than what we had planned.”
