“I took this in eighth grade on the way to science fair, I love sunrises and still love to take pictures of them.” Allie Henderson said

Sound and Vision Night, which will be held in the school auditorium Thursday evening, is for all of those hipsters out there who want to spend their evening looking at myriad artwork and listening to music at the same time. Admission is free and snacks will be provided.

“I think that this event will be pretty successful for the Quill & Scroll Society,” Allie Henderson said. “I am really excited because this is the first time I’m entering my art into something for people to see. I love taking pictures, and I can’t draw very well so this is a great opportunity for me to show off my work to everyone.”

Allie’s father, Matt Henderson, teaches  painting, drawing, 3-D art and middle-school art.

“I think it will be a successful event,” Matt Henderson said. “I think a lot of students will show up. They enjoy seeing the artwork, videos and other musical entertainment.”

Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and admission is free.
