Sophomore drifts from traditional Thanksgiving

Sophomore Bella Stazzone hopes to finalize her vacation plans as Thanksgiving break approaches. The Stazzones are considering going to the Bahamas on a Disney Dream Cruise with relatives from her dad’s side of the family.

“We are going for thanksgiving week because we wanted to try something new,” Stazzone said. “We’ve all been wanting to go so it’d be nice to be together on thanksgiving.”

Stazzone’s older sister is in on the excitement.

“I’ve gone on the Disney cruise a few other times, but this will be the first with all cousins so I’m super excited to spend this time with them,” Rachel Stazzone said.

Despite the fact both sisters have been on a cruise ship before, they are looking forward to spending time with family and taking advantage of everything this cruise has to offer.

“I’m super excited to meet new people on the cruise and walk around with my cousins,” Stazzone said.

The cruise stops at Castaway Cay, an island owned by Disney. On the island guests can participate in family activities, ride water slides, or enjoy a day at the beach. While aboard the cruise patrons can swim, ride more water slides, play family trivia, and eat a different dinner served every night. Stazzone is particularly excited to hang out with her cousins at a club just for teens.

“This isn’t a typical Thanksgiving for my family so it should be interesting,” Stazzone said. “Who knows, if it works out maybe we’ll do something like this again next year.”
