Social networking distracts students

During exam week, students find it hard to study, citing social networking as a major distraction.

“All night I was just sitting on my phone, reading tweets and liking pictures,” sophomore Shaun Wilson said. “I couldn’t find the motiviation to open my textbook.”

As social networking grows, so does the strength of distraction that it has on students.

“I didn’t use to be so involved,” Wilson said. “But my friends convinced me to join websites such as Twitter and Facebook, and now I just can’t get enough.”
