Student-athletes affiliated with soccer often travel vast distances whether it be in Florida or all the way to North Carolina. Some find the traveling fun and exciting while others find it to be exhausting and in some cases annoying because of the game taking the whole weekend away from them.

“The distance are an iffy thing to me,” senior Fallon Klenotich said. “Some I love to do while others I dread.  It kind of all just depends on my mood for the day but nine out of ten times I love to go on these mini trips. Around this time last year, my family and I actually traveled to Washington D.C for a tournament and this was an amazing experience for me because I had never been to D.C before, and it was a trip that I won’t forget.” 

Sophomore Tyann Tizol said the traveling can get old.

“I love to play soccer but I just despise the time it takes to go to some of my games, like traveling three hours to Jacksonville then playing for an hour then three hours back just killed my entire day,” she said. “It nice to travel and stuff, but I’d rather be able to do it and not worry about having to be at a game early in the morning. To me a mini-vacation would be to not have to worry about neither soccer nor school and just be able to sit back and relax.”
