Graduating seniors are preparing for their final days as high school students. The graduation ceremony will take place on May 21 at the King Center, marking the end of one chapter and the beginning of another.

“I am excited to go off to college and meet some new people, along with finding my place in the college I am going to,” senior Emily Eason said.

Eason also said she is excited for the summer, considering this summer will be her last year in her hometown.

Senior Mykaela Brown shared thoughts on graduation similar to Eason’s.

“I am most excited to walk the stage and to be with all my friends for one of the last times, it will be really fun,” Brown said.

On the other hand, senior Luke Mares had a way different look on graduation.

“I am most excited to move out of my house and live on my own,” Mares said. “I have been preparing all of my things that I need for college, so it is something I am looking forward to.”

These seniors all agreed that they were ready to see their friends on stage and be with them after the graduation ceremony.

“I am really excited to see all of my friends walk across the stage, and at the point where we throw our caps, to just run to each other, and hug them all, and have it be a good last moment,” Eason said.
