Seniors prepare for class picnic

The Senior Class is getting ready for the senior picnic Thursday, which will be held after graduation practice.

“This is one of our last goodbyes to the seniors,” sponsor Melissa Henderson said. “It’s going to be an emotional, but fun, day.”

Senior homeroom teachers will be among those invited to the festivities on the soccer field.

“It is going to be a great chance for the members of the graduating class to spend quality time and come together for the most memorable night of their lives: graduation,” class president Adrian Arias said.

The senior video, created by class historian Lyndsay Yandell, will be presented before the picnic.

“The video is finally finished, and I hope people enjoy it,” she said. “I am very nervous to reveal it to the class because it’s hopefully going to be one of the things people will look back on to remember all the good times we had together in high school.”

For Yandell, the video doubled as her Senior Project product.

“It’s going to be bittersweet,” senior Bianca Taraschi said. “I feel like when we watch the video and see how much we’ve all grown and changed, it’s going to be much more real that we will be graduating in 24 hours.”
