Senior Night marks the end of an era as five senior boys basketball players prepare for their final home game. Jack Boucher, Beau Couture, Camden Garoust, Yogi Patel and Christian Rebec, joined by senior manager Trey Hatter, will take to their home court one last time against Edgewood Jr./Sr. High School on Jan. 31 at 7 p.m.
“We all grew up playing basketball together,” Patel said. “We’re like a family. Playing with this group one last time in this setting is going to be a lot of fun.”
Couture said he is hoping to achieve a milestone in his basketball career at this game.
“I’m super close to reaching 1,000 career points, which would be the second in school history,” he said. “It would be super cool to get the 28 points I need on Senior Night.”
Head coach Corey Burton said the team hopes to extend its season with a strong playoff run after Senior Night.
“We are striving for regionals and a district championship, starting Wednesday against the winner of MCC or Odyssey,” Burton said. “We hope to keep the journey going for as long as possible.”
