Senior boards displace teachers

As 12th-graders presented their Senior Projects in groups of three to a group of judges during three sessions ranging from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.,  several teachers were displaced from their classrooms.

Latin teacher Virginia Wills was one of the teachers who was displaced.

“I’ve always been moved out of my classroom, like many of Building 2 [teachers],” Wills said. “It’s hard to take all of the books to the portables. Students don’t have their textbooks there so it may limit the class.”

Junior Alec Luker has classes in several of the 10 classrooms used for senior boards.

“I feel like a Native American, and the seniors are the colonists,” he said. “I’m being removed from where I ought to be.”
