Scorps sting girls’ lacrosse 15-1

Girls lacrosse falls to the Sattlite Scorpions 15-1 on March 22.  The Wildcats and Scorpions have always had a heated rivarly in lacrosse and this season has been no exception. The Wildcats earlier in the season won in double overtime, finally conquering the rivals for the first time.

“Beating them for the first time was amazing and we had earned it,” junior Sierra Purden said.  “We came out this game knowing it would be tough, but we weren’t prepared for this.”

The loss was a huge upset to the players as well as the fans.

“It feels like we’re back to square one,” junior Christine Sherry said.  “The team needs to come together and be ready for our next game.”

The Lady Wildcats don’t want to give up hope of becoming district champions in the upcoming weeks, hoping to prove themselves in their upcoming game against the Eau Gallie Commodores on Tuesday night at 6 p.m.
