Students Against Destructive Decisions has scheduled multiple fundraisers and campaigns to show the dangers of drunken driving.
“We are doing a car wash the first Saturday of March,” club sponsor Susan Woyshner said. “We’re also doing a cake walk in April; we’re pushing for a Wednesday after school.”
Last year, SADD raised about $1,000 for the Red Cross March and hope to match this amount.
“We want to be heros and raise $1,000 again,” Woyshner said.
Along with fundraising, SADD will sponsor a campaign to fight drunken driving.
“We are doing a buckle up campaign,” Woyshner said. “Students will be stopped leaving campus, and if their seatbelt is on they will get candy and gum.”
SADD President Nicole Machon is making a video for the televised morning announcements to give all of West Shore the results of the campaign.
