Relay for Life set for May 5

Relay for Life 2012 will be held on the school track May 5. The overnight event, founded in 1985 and sponsored by the American Cancer Society, is designed to celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost and fight back against the disease.

All participants are required at have raised a minimum of $50 to stay the night at the event. In order to participate students were required to fill out forms and return them to the front office last week.

“I’m really excited for Relay for Life this year to see what its all about,”  junior Andrew Eaton said.

Because of the Advanced Placement exams schedule, some students won’t be able to attend.

“I’m really disappointed I can’t go to relay this year,” sophomore Sarah Brusca said. “My AP environmental science exam is that same weekend.”
