This year’s all school production is the musical “The King and I,” including both high schoolers and middle schoolers. The main roles will be filled by seniors Kieran Sheridan as Ms. Anna, Richard Klenotich as Lun Tha, Kristina Manning as Tuptim, and juniors Evelio Sotolongo as the King and Eva Johnson as Lady Thiang. The musical includes an elaborate dance number, so senior Michelle Smith is the dance captain and will be the lead in the dance.

“The cast this year is fantastic. There are very talented people in it,” junior and ensemble member Rachael Straley said. “I can’t wait to watch them perform.”

Rehearsals have already begun with practices every Saturday. Opening night is Thursday, October 10 at 7 p.m. There will also be performances of the musical Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. To learn more about “The King and I” and the theatre department go to westshoretheatre.org.
